Purchasing from Oak Barrel Blooms

Thank you for considering our barrels, they are of excellent quality oak and have been previously used for holding Scotish Whiskey so they smell amazing!

Each one has been checked for wood or metal ring damage. For extra reassurance, we secure the rings with additional bolts so that the rings don’t slip should the wood get dry in extreme heat. To aid this from happening, they are dampened on the exterior and interior with water before delivery to Stanwick.

As they are of used condition, not all are the same colour, but as you can see from this image, they are all great quality and have some charming rustic features and make for unique individual planting choices.

The bases of the barrels are not drilled with drainage holes as some clients use them as miniature ponds, as seen on the home page of this website.

If you would like to treat them, we would suggest a light sand and then a annual application of Tung Oil, but you can leave them untreated and they will last a very long time being oak, but for longevity we suggest an annual treatment oil.

If you would like to paint them instead of using Tung Oil this is also another option.

We can supply as many barrels as you need, a 50% deposit will be required for orders of 4 or more.

Each barrel is £35 or £30 each for 2 or more.
